Hello all
Hi everyone. I am Nia, mom to 2 yr old J, whom my husband and I adopted domestically at birth. He is currently in speech and occupational therapy for what appears to be sensory integration disorder, but he will be seen by a developmental pediatrician in July for a true diagnosis. So right now we are in the tough stage of needing and seeking help without a diagnosis and that is VERY hard! I am shocked that there are not more online forums for autism, but was happy to come across this one and can't wait to meet everyone.

Re: Hello all
I'm very familiar with this one...four of my five kids have SPD's, as well as myself. I have a great site for you to check out...Sensory Critters.com or Sensory Craver .com. I am waiting for an occupational therapist, but the wait list is long. This company offers everything from weighted blankets , vests, textured spoons, lap pads, hammocks etc. Lisa Compton and her husband own the business and they're located in the USA however check to see what they have anyways, just to give you an idea. They are located in New Haven, Indiana. -Janice
