New here been an autism parent for 13 years
Hi my name is Karen Dawson, I am a single parent with a beautiful 13 year old high-functioning autistic daughter. I live in Rogers Arkansas, been in the 4 states for 5 years now. Moved from California as it is too crowded and way too expensive to be a single parent. I am glad I made the move because Alyssa has blossomed out here. I thought she was doing well in California but after a year of schooling in Missouri where we first moved to she was talking in sentences, she wasn't fully doing that in California. Now she is reading, doing math etc... Her specialty is Art, autistics can either excel in Math or art, while she is good in math she excels in art.

Hi Karen! I think math is a form of art of some kind and sometimes it can be really beautiful i.e. fractals.
