DCAS Autism Society
Yesterday i had the opportunity to sit in on a meeting with the DCAS (Devon & Cornwall Autistic Society) via my job with Spectrum

They have been going for years but in recent years they have not been so active.

There are plans to re establish the Society and from what i can see are looking very promising.

DCAS is a charity that aims to champion rights of children with Autism making a real difference in there lives.

They will be providing services to families, children and professionals.

Fundraising to support innovative projects for children with Autism and their families.

Actively raise awareness of the needs of children with autism, positively raising their profile with in the local community.

DCAS will potentially be able to provide training, seminars, youth clubs, holiday activities. Resources and a base to hold meetings and some of these events.

Spectrum a top care organization in Cornwall and Devon will support the Society and offer their professional advice and guidance.

This is a fantastic resource for local families and it would be great to here what you all would like such a service to provide or help with, if i get invited back i can then take this to them.

RE: DCAS Autism Society
That's great! Now if only there was an organisation to help Autistic adults...

The word 'impossible' isn't in the Autistic dictionary. http://www.aspiesoftheworld.com Avatar provided by nosgoth.net via Google Image Search.
