understanding autism
hello, My son Nathan said mum nan and dad before he reached his first birthday. Then he stopped saying anymore new words. He had a hearing test at two years old which he passed. In November he saw a speech and language peditrican and she suspects my son is autistic. Since then with no outside help he can count to ten he can now say at least 30 different words and he is starting to join words together now like "be good boy". He is also clapping his hands, pointing and waving which he didnt do before.

I dont know a lot about autism i have just been waiting until we see a specialist.

Is it usual for autistic children to improve so quickly. He is now 2yrs 7 months old
thank you

chantelle
