Re: what made you happy today.
Hey all
What made me wake up happy and relieved is that I took my 17 yr old son to a Ped yesterday and after many questions he suspects that my son may have Apspergers and will put him in for an assessment. My son has struggled for a decade socially and he dropped out of school in grade 6, I home schooled him for a few years. He went back to school after 3 years and struggled again until he dropped out again this time for good.
I know this sounds dreary but in truth it was such a relief to hear this from the Ped. My youngest son has Autism so it's not a new thing in our family. We have taken our oldest son to a child and youth therapist, have taken DBT and he has been taking meds for Anxiety and depression. To hear that he will get his assessment finally, is such a relief. He wants to know what is going on with him and is not scared of a possible Asperger's diagnosis.
I woke up with hope in my heart for my son Smile
