Re: Help
I am afraid of the top of my head i do not, all i can suggest is getting in touch with your local council education department contact your social worker if you have one they may help back it up or speak to your local special needs school. You may have already tried these but i am afraid that is all i can offer for now sorry i could not help more than that.

Re: Help
Via her local authority Social Services.

I take it you mean residential as opposed to Special needs school?

Re: Help
Try the national austic society they run their own schools and should be able to give advice and support.

Re: Help
I as well cannot offer you advice on this subject. Here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, our children are integrated into mainstream settings within the schools. Some people home-school their children, but for the lower functioning children, they may have seperate classrooms or are integrated into the normal classes with help of an Educational Assistant, or have adaptations and/or modifications allocated for children with special needs. I have binders full of information for inclusive education for my children and what resources they are entitled to. I do know that within some of the larger cities and Provinces they have specialized schools, but not here. Although this information is not useful, I thought you might find it interesting.
