Hey All
My name is Ann and i'm the mum of Jenna who has recently been diagnosed with High Functioning
Autism, we live in Nottingham and i am married to Ste (Jenna's dad). I am looking for help and
support for anything that may come up in with Jenna and to offer help and advice where i can.
We have an Amazing peadtrician who has been so supportive, informative and understanding with us. I
even have her e-mail address for quick response.
Jenna has been refered to SALT, and i've had the community peadtric nurse get in touch about her
diagnosis (not quite sure what she wants yet tho :S)
Jenna starts a new school full time in september and their SENCO has already been amazing in
agreeing to send photos out so i can make a social story for her and agreeing to extra visits for
Jenna before September.
Jenna is very obessive about Dora, she doesnt like dirty hands (she screams), she has very strict
routines, like walking to school (she wont walk any other way) she has to have the same staff...

Hello all,
I'm new and thought I would introduce myself. I'm American but live in South Wales with my husband
who has HFA, my daughter who is nearly two and awaiting assessment for ASD and my son who is 5. He
was dx'd with moderate autism May 2009, epilepsy in Jan this year and a few other bits and bobs in
between.
I would love to move back home for the family and support I know is waiting there from my
mom/sisters, but I just don't think we would get the same level of healthcare we get here,
especially for things like OT, physio, SaLT, Rebound, play therapy etc etc. However I have no family
here apart from dh of course, and his family aren't really involved, so a bit lonely.
Well that's us in a nutshell, looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you better
:)
