Hi Everyone!

I have a son, Henry who is 5 yrs old with mild autism (asd). I feel like I am going slowly insane. Today he screamed all day. I am living abroad in Norway and have no support here. My son gets extra help with language at daycare but thats about it. I feel like screaming because I myself have no one to talk to about this. I feel like I cant get thru to him at all. He still poos in his pants and like I said, screams like he is being tortured. This all breaks my heart and makes for so much stress in our family. This has been very hard on my marriage and my husband blames a lot of this on me (dont know why). I feel like I am solo on this. Would be nice to have some friends here who understand the daily stuggles and stresses of having a child with autism. Please feel free to email me!

RE: Newbie
Hi Aleta! Many of us feel alone in our struggles. I can certainly empathize, having more than one child within the spectrum and also a single parent to five. Despite knowing how to network within social services (I worked in the field for 10+ yrs.) I am still struggling to get and maintain supports as well. Just know that you're not alone in all of this. Welcome to the site!
